Convenience Speaks: The vCards are here today!

The scenarios where vCards can really make a difference in the exchange of information have started to become a reality with the vCard V2.1 Specification (from the Internet Mail Consortium) and the vCard V3.0 Specification is approved as a proposed standard (by the IETF).

The above mentioned specifications have been developed in cooperation with some leading producers of desktop software (PIMs, and telephony products), Internet web clients, email systems, hand-held organizers, on-line information & directory services, and many other interested parties.

In fact, vCards has already been adopted and taken up by many of these vendors, who have started incorporating vCard technology into their products now.
